Visitors to Dolmen Lodge are immediately impressed with spectacular views of Galway Bay and the Burren.

Our 100 acre farm, much of it limestone pavements, has been designated as a special area of conservation. It is a botanist's and geologist's delight where Arctic and Alpine flowers grow side by side. From May onwards these exotic flora can be seen to best advantage.

Our guest rooms are tastefully furnished with tea and coffee making facilities, tv and free wifi. Both dining room and sitting room overlook a colourful garden.

Our base is ideal for walking or cycling the Burren. There is a variety of walking trails and loop walks. The Wood Loop trail runs through the farm to Ailwee Cave. Information is available to assist with guided and non guided walks.

Our house is within easy reach of Poulnabrone Dolmen - which attracts thousands of visitors every year. Nearby is Caherconnell stone fort and Interpretive centre. We are a short drive from the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin Village where there is a daily ferry service to the Aran Islands. The village itself with its thatched cottages and beautiful sea views has an enduring appeal. Commanding spectacular views of the beautiful Galway Bay and the Burren, this accommodation offers four cosy guestrooms. It has a double ensuite, a triple ensuite, and two rooms with a double and single bed. All rooms come with an ensuite with power showers and in room facilities for tea making, television and a hair dryer.

For when the weather is nice, there is a safe sandy beach just 2km from the B&B. You can walk to the Burren from here and explore its limestone surface and extraordinary plant life. The Burren is also home to a number of major attractions such as Aillwee Caves (2km), the Burren Smokehouse, Poulnabrone Dolmen and at the south west edge of the Burren, you'll find one of Ireland's most popular attractions, the Cliffs of Moher.
